History of the Firm

    Founded in late 1998 by William Schiller and Paul Knapp, the firm largely focuses on serving lending institutions, including mortgage closings, creditor’s rights and loss mitigation. Both Mr. Knapp and Mr. Schiller have spent many years as counsel to numerous lending institutions throughout New York State.  The goal of the firm is to assist lenders with closing loans and  with the ongoing challenge of recovering monies from those borrowers who do not voluntarily pay their debts.

   The firm grew and prospered in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s.  The firm is now comprised of five attorneys, as well as an impressive team of professionals, with an in-depth knowledge of Bankruptcy Law, Creditors’ Rights, Foreclosure Law and general Real Property Law.

   Through referrals from existing clients and peers, the firm continues to grow and expand the clientele that it serves.  Clients range from sole proprietorships and individuals to some of the regions largest lenders.
